My name is Rodrecus (Rod) Hill and I have lived in the state of South Carolina all my life. My ministry background includes a myriad of experiences. I was saved at a young age of 10, but did not know how to grow in my walk with God. It wasn’t until 8 years later that I began to get serious about God’s word. I was involved with Campus Crusade for Christ (now Cru) and heard Kay Arthur at a conference. I was blown away at her delivery and knowledge of the word! At that conference I told God that I wanted to know God’s word like Kay, and the rest is history! I started leading small group bible studies in college 1997, and led my first Precept Upon Precept course in 2010. I have had the privilege of traveling the world to spread the gospel on several mission trips that include Nigeria, Africa and the Dominican Republic. I served in other capacities over the years such as Intercessory Prayer, Evangelism Team, and Child Evangelism Fellowship.
My vocation is a public education math teacher. I became a teacher in 2003 and have served at the same school in Greenville South Carolina. I have had several moments where God opened the door for me to share my faith with students and parents. Teaching in the public schools is a huge calling and can only be done by God’s grace being on my life.
Lastly, I am a 1 Corinthian 7:32 man – it reads: “But I want you to be free from concern. One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord”. Being single is hard work – just like being married. The culture that we live in does not make it easy for single men to live for God, but God’s grace is sufficient.
My hobbies include: traveling, baking cakes and cookies, learning new things, working in the yard, watching movies, watching football.
