Psa 28:6-9 ESV –
6 Blessed be the LORD! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy.
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
8 The LORD is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed.
9 Oh, save your people and bless your heritage! Be their shepherd and carry them forever.
My Heavenly Father,
You hear me when I cry out to You. . .the God of the universe, the Sovereign Ruler of all creation, and You turn Your attention to me, and hear my cries for help and mercy.
When all my strength is gone, You supply Your strength to obey You, Your strength to submit to Your will. You shield me from despair. You shield me from fear and worry. God, Your shield has no weak spots; Your shield is solid, is sure. Your strength is sufficient.
Lord, You are my Shepherd. I am Your sheep. You care for me. You notice me. I am not useless to You. Oh, God, continue to strengthen me to do what You have asked me to do! Continue to shield me from doubt and faithlessness.
For my loved ones who do not trust in You . . .Oh, God, grant them mercy! Open their eyes to repent of their folly and turn their hearts to Your salvation. Bring them into Your sheepfold. Save them. Rescue them.
As long as I live I will exult in Your goodness, Your mercy, Your salvation. You are an amazing God! And You are my Shepherd,
