    Monday Prayer 01.29.18

    Psa 3:1-8 ESV –
    1 A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son. O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me;
    2 many are saying of my soul, there is no salvation for him in God. Selah
    3 But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.
    4 I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah
    5 I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me.
    6 I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.
    7 Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.
    8 Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people! Selah
    What a tremendous gift that I am Your child. You have saved me; and You stay with me. I can cry out to You at any time, and know that You hear me. I can trust that You will always act in my best interest; yes, even when circumstances are difficult, even when life is painful and confusing.
    Thank You for being my Sustainer; for being my shield from evil, even for lifting my head to look at You when I just want to focus on me . . .
    You are such an amazing God!
    This year I am adding a new item to Monday prayer. Each week will highlight a country that is on the OpenDoors World Watch List of the countries in the world that are the most difficult for Christians. I will provide a link that gives some details. Let’s remember our brothers and sisters who are living in very difficult places. God is their Sustainer!
