My name is Patricia Norwood. Most people call me Pat. I live in the State of Washington about 30 minutes east of Tacoma. I have been married for 40 years and I have 3 grown children in their early 30s. Allie is one of our children. She still lives with us because of her Down Syndrome and Autism. I have twin grandsons who live in Arizona who I get to fly and see several times a year and I get to regularly Facetime their precious little 2 year old faces.
“For over 25 years I have taught women how to study the Bible using the inductive Bible study method. I decided I wanted to dig out truth for myself from the Word of God and not just be on a “scavenger hunt” searching for fill in the blank answers.” Attending my first class I knew this method and the women it attracted were for me. I have lived all over the country and have started an inductive bible study wherever I have landed and usually have successfully handed it off to another after I had to leave.
Recently, I believe teaching online is where God has called me in these changing times we are living. I believe God doesn’t want us to just let inductive study be a gathering of facts. Hopefully, our time discussing our discoveries God has revealed to us personally during our homework time will be God’s means of cleansing and transforming us into the image of Jesus Christ. That’s where we need each other. We need to dialogue. We need to reason through the Scriptures. We need to look at, ”What would my life look like if I really trusted and obeyed this particular passage I just studied?” And that my friend, takes time, yielding and surrendering.
