Alicia Luther

My name is Alicia and I live in N.C.  I have been married for 20 years and have three children,  a son in law and a labradoodle named Indiana.  I am currently working as a nurse.  I love to cook, read good biographies or non-fiction books, garden, exercise, and be with family.

I was first introduced to Jesus at the age of 12 years old  but lived a lifestyle of sin.  I did not grow up in a Christian home and had gone to two different churches while I was young.  My mother was a believer and prayed fervently for me.   When I became pregnant at the age of 21 years old, the Lord brought a mentor ( a friend of my mothers)  into my life who introduced me to Inductive bible study.  During that year, I also had repented of my sin and started to follow Jesus.

The desire to learn about the Bible did not occur  until  I was challenged by another person.  This person asked me “How do you know what you are saying is true?” “Why do you believe what you believe?”  I didn’t know.

This challenge sent me on a quest to investigate what I truly believed. During these younger  years, I went back and forth between various bible studies. One year I signed up for a training course in inductive bible study.  After that training, I started to lead a group of women at church through the book of  Ephesians.  It was at this time in my life when  I grasped my salvation in Jesus Christ and what that truly meant.
